“Having done a net trawl for specialists who refurbish Rostyle wheels as fitted to several 1970’s models, my search fell into two categories; almost none or uneconomic.

That is until I contacted Alex at The Wheel Specialist East Grinstead.

I was given a thorough ‘walk through’ of the process, its pros and cons. Alex was very candid about what could and could not be achieved. I made the decision to go ahead.

When it was time to collect the vehicle I spoke with Dave via the ‘phone, who did the actual job. Once again, I was given an exceptionally honest appraisal of the work done and the result achieved. I was also hugely impressed that Dave had spent quite some time on the various MG forums trying to ascertain the correct tyre pressures!!!

The final result was on first sight one of complete satisfaction, the wheels having been shot blasted, powder coated twice (silver and black) and finally powder coat clear lacquered.

Cost wise having the 5 wheels refurbished were on a par with replacement minilite type wheels.

NB. There is also a remarkably impressive powder coat chrome effect which may have applications beyond wheels.
